Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust is the Admissions Authority for Waltham Toll Bar Academy.
Waltham Toll Bar Academy, as a non-selective and inclusive Academy, welcomes applications from all parents and carers for children regardless of their aptitude or ability. The Board of Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust is the Admissions Authority with the Local Governing Body responsible for the administration of the admissions arrangements. The Board remains responsible for any admissions appeals.

New Intake Applications – Year 7 September 2025
Applications into Year 7 in September 2025 is coordinated by North East Lincolnshire Council. Applications for first entry to Year 7 need to be made to the child’s home local authority. The Academy is unable to accept direct applications into this year group until the year group becomes on roll on 1 September 2025, which at this point becomes an in-year admission.

Waiting List
A waiting list for new intake students is held until 31 December and after this point no waiting lists are held.
Admission Appeal
If your application has been refused you have the right to appeal against this decision to an Independent Appeals Panel.

In Year Applications
The Governors welcome applications to all year groups.

You can request a paper version of the in-year application form by telephoning the Academy on 01472 500505, by writing to Waltham Toll Bar Academy, Station Road, New Waltham, Grimsby, DN36 4RZ or asking at Reception for an application form.
Applications submitted via the local authority will be considered equally to those made directly.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in writing within 15 school days from the date the Academy received your application.
Applications will be accepted if there is space in the year group applied for. The Academy will follow the oversubscription criteria detailed in the Admissions Policy if there are more applications than there are places in a year group.
