Dear Parents and Carers
As we come to the end of what has been a truly fantastic first full term, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and to share some of the many highlights from recent weeks.
This term has been filled with energy, enthusiasm, and achievement across the whole school. Our pupils have shown great commitment both inside and outside the classroom, and it has been a pleasure to see them thrive.
Rehearsals are now well underway for our upcoming production of Peter Pan, and the excitement is already building. The dedication and creativity shown by our students and staff promise a wonderful performance in the summer term and we look forward to welcoming you to see the final production.
Wednesday’s Christmas Concert was a particular highlight of the term. The performances were of an exceptionally high standard and truly captured the spirit of the season. I would like to congratulate all students involved and thank our staff for their hard work in making the evening such a success.
Our sporting calendar has also been very busy this term, with numerous fixtures taking place across a range of sports. Students have represented the school with pride, demonstrating teamwork, resilience, and excellent sportsmanship throughout. Among many highlights, the Year 11 boys winning the Grimsby and District Championship and the Year 9 girls succeeding at the recent swimming gala were particularly pleasing achievements.
I would also like to commend our Year 11 students for their outstanding efforts in the recent mock examinations. Their results reflect a great deal of hard work and determination, and they should be extremely proud of what they have achieved so far.
Rewards have played a prominent part in our school life this half term and the winning year group in terms of ePraise points are Year 7, who finished top of the charts with 207,190 points this academic year! In total students have accessed around 800 prizes from our ePraise shop as we continue to celebrate and reward success at the academy.
As we finish for the Christmas holidays, I would like to thank our staff for their continued dedication and commitment, and our parents and carers for your ongoing support. I hope the coming weeks provide an opportunity for rest, celebration, and time with family and friends.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year. We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday 05 January 2025, refreshed and ready for the exciting opportunities ahead.
Yours sincerely,
P. Dickinson
Executive Principal
