Careers and personal development — relationship and sex education
Your child is due to take part in Relationships and Sex Education lessons as part of the Careers and Personal Development Programme of Study. The Relationship Education, Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education Regulations 2019, made under sections 34 and 35 of the Children's Social Work Act 2017, make Relationship and Sex Education compulsory for all students receiving secondary education. They also make Health Education compulsory in all schools.
