Dear Families
As we reach the end of this half-term, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the fantastic positivity and achievement we’ve seen across the school over the past half term. It has been a truly fantastic start to the year, and our students continue to impress us with their dedication and character.
From the focused atmosphere for our Year 11 and 13 mock exams to the vibrant creativity displayed in our recent rehearsals for the Peter Pan academy production, the school has been a hive of activity. Our sports teams have shown incredible talent on the field of play, and it has been a pleasure to see so many students engaging in our extracurricular enrichment clubs, from chess club to debate and many more.
Please can I encourage all parents and carers to sign up to our social media pages where we share and celebrate the success of our students, links below:
We are delighted with the strong start students have made following the launch of ePraise. We are incredibly proud of their continued positive attitudes towards learning and their contributions to our wider community. Students are awarded ePraise points for positive behaviour both in and out of the classroom, as well as for attending enrichment activities. A reminder that students can spend their points in the online ePraise store. Login reminders can be found on the Year Group Teams tiles.
Beyond academic and sporting success, I am most proud of the kindness and community spirit shown by our pupils. Whether through fundraising efforts or simply supporting one another through the academy day.
We are extremely proud of the aspirational attitudes of our students and staff.
I would like to thank our hardworking staff for their unwavering commitment and, of course, you—the parents and carers—for your continued support and partnership. It makes all the difference.
I hope you and your families have a restful, safe, and enjoyable break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 23 February 2026 for what promises to be another busy and rewarding term.
Yours sincerely,
P. Dickinson
Executive Principal
