Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to share how well our students have settled into life at Waltham Toll Bar Academy this academic year. They have approached this term with enthusiasm, resilience, and a wonderful attitude towards learning. I am proud to say that behaviour at Waltham Toll Bar is exceptional and the focus students have had in lessons has been inspiring.

Students have quickly adapted to routines, made new friends, and are embracing the opportunities available both inside and outside the classroom. It has been a pleasure to see them engaging positively with their lessons and showing kindness, curiosity, and a genuine eagerness to achieve their best.

The launch of the new rewards system has been really well received by the students and the arrival of the new book vending machine has been a fantastic addition to support this. I feel strongly that we need to recognise excellent effort, behaviour and achievement at the academy and a consistent rewards system is vital in achieving that positive academy environment.

Students have been rewarded with 485,019 ePraise reward points during the first term and have accessed a range of rewards from the online shop including skip the dinner queue passes, stationary, books, water bottles and cinema tickets. We are excited about introducing a new student council next term, where students will be able to feedback on what reward prizes they would like to see in the future.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to make this academic year at Waltham Toll Bar a happy and successful one. We hope the students have an enjoyable break and we look forward to welcoming them back to the academy on Monday 03 November.
