Festive joy filled the air when talented students performed to a packed All Saints Church in the annual Christmas celebration.
Families, governors, guests and students filled the Waltham church to enjoy a varied programme of music, song and dance.
Organised by Co-Director of Arts / Head of Drama Mrs Carter, she thanked everybody for supporting the event and those who helped organise it.
The evening started with the choir singing The First Noel, a beautiful opening to the performance, she said.
Classic Christmas favourites including Jingle Bells, Carol of the Bells and Away in a Manger followed.
“Our violinist helped to get the audience in the Christmas spirt playing Fairytale of New York,” said Mrs Carter.
“Key stage 3 students reminded the audience of the true message of Christmas when performing How the Grinch stole Christmas.
“A-Level Dance students wowed the audience with their Bob Fosse-influenced performance to a Michael Bublé Christmas classic.
“We were taken back in time with Year 10 Drama students to watch a devised performance of Twas the Night Before Christmas.
“Year 10 Dancers then performed in the aisles making the audience feel as if they were part of the action.”
The performance closed with the audience participating in the singing of White Christmas.
