Congratulations were showered on Year 11s in a memorable send-off on their last full day at Waltham Toll Bar Academy.
They paraded through the rest of the school in fancy dress and, as they did so, were clapped and cheered by their peers and staff.
Executive Principal Philip Dickinson said it was a special day.
“I’d like to congratulate our Year 11s on all their achievements,” he said.
“They have been a fantastic group of young people and will be missed by the staff.
“Their last day marks the end, for the vast majority, of five years at Waltham Toll Bar.
“In that time, they have developed academically but, more importantly, as young people, ready for the next chapter in their lives.
“Whatever they do, whether that is in the sixth form here or elsewhere, we wish them good luck and all the very best.
“We hope they will look back with fond memories of their time with us and feel they have benefitted from all those personal development opportunities offered at Waltham Toll Bar.
“They should all be proud of their achievements. The staff certainly are.
“We’re really looking forward to seeing the outcomes of their hard work when the results are revealed in August.”
