Supporting Students

Every student has access to Unifrog, which helps them explore careers and pathways and build a record of their careers interactions and experiences.

Students are encouraged to maintain this record throughout their time at Toll Bar so that, when they reach important transition points such as Lincs2 applications, they can draw upon the experiences, skills and achievements they have developed.

The following websites are linked to providers we work with at Waltham Toll Bar Academy and support our students in sourcing opportunities in further, higher education and both local and national apprenticeships:

Supporting Parents and Carers

Parents and carers have an important role in helping young people make decisions about their futures, and we want families to understand the options available rather than only becoming involved when an application deadline approaches.

Parents and carers can engage with our careers programme through:

  • Careers representation at Parents' Evenings

  • Options Evening

  • Dedicated events connected to work experience

  • Their child's careers activity and progress through Unifrog

  • Information and resources shared by the academy

  • Contacting our Careers Team for further information or support on enquiries@tollbaracademy.co.uk
