Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is a Government initiative that provides additional funding for students currently entitled to Free School Meals (FSM) and those that have been entitled to FSM at any point in the last 6 years. The Pupil Premium is also available to children in care (CiC) and those that have been adopted from care under the Adoption and Children Act 2002 and children who have left care under a Special Guardianship or Residence Order. Students who have parents in the armed forces are also entitled to an additional amount of money. At Waltham Toll Bar Academy, we will use this additional funding to ensure continued progress and attainment for FSM, CiC / Adopted and those pupils whose parents serve in the armed forces. We will strive to ensure our FSM, CiC /Adopted and Service Children, ‘close the attainment and progress gap' between themselves and non- FSM, CiC/adopted and service students.

At Waltham Toll Bar Academy we are committed to providing effective resources, strategies and support to improve the academic outcomes for disadvantaged students.
